Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen induction therapy, also known as micro needling is a unique treatment in which small needles are used to penetrate the skin to certain depths in order to cause trauma to the surface of the skin. In response to this trauma your body will then trigger the wound healing process producing collagen during the repair process. This collagen then helps improve the overall look of the skin making it appear more youthful and revitalised.

Collagen induction therapy helps to improve the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, pitted skin and stretch marks. The process in our clinic starts with a numbing cream being applied 30-45 minutes prior to treatment . Once the skin is numb we apply a silky peel gel to remove the dead skin from the face and neck areas. Once the skin is cleaned and the dead skin cells removed our Aesthetics nurse Lesley Ann will apply one of three Meso cocktails that will be chosen to suit your individual requirements. Once the cocktail is applied to the skin the micro needling process will begin using the fantastic Raffine ™ pen. The pen is set to various depths depending on the area being treated and the result required. Once the treatment is complete you will have a refreshing mask to complement your treatment to cool and relax the face and skin.
