Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)

It’s normal to sweat if you get hot or do exercise, but you may be sweating excessively if you’re sweating when your body doesn’t need to cool down. Excessive sweating can happen for no obvious reason, because of another condition you may have or as a side effect of medication you’re taking. Excessive sweating can have a frustrating impact on every day life.  An effective treatment for sweating under the armpits could be botox treatment.  Numbing cream can be used beforehand and treatment is delivered using a fine needle. The effects last 7-8 months with high level of satisfaction. Some clients say  this treatment changed their life and made them more confident in social and professional life.

.Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition, which affects up to 5% of the population during their lifetime. Botox treatment for excessive sweating at DD Clinical

The first step is to attend a complimentary consultation to talk through the procedure and decide if it’s right for you. Our experienced clinicians will take a full medical history and advise on any questions or concerns you may have.

Once you’re ready to go ahead, a doctor will use a small needle to give a series of Botox injections just under the skin in the area of the body that’s being treated. This only takes about half an hour, and there’s little to no discomfort during that time. The effects start very quickly, and you’ll be free of hyperhidrosis for up to six months.

Botox is a well-established, safe procedure, and there are very few side effects.

Occasionally, people experience mild bruising and swelling at the injection site. This is short-lived and passes within 24-hours.

If you have any other concerns, please ask. We’ll discuss in detail any side effects or potential risks for all our treatments at your complimentary face-to-face consultation.

Most people continue their day as normal after a Botox treatment. It’s best to take it easy, avoiding strenuous exercise, extreme heat (like a sauna), or alcohol for 24 hours. But after that, you can return to your usual routine.

In advance of any injectable procedure, you’ll receive a thorough consultation with a medical practitioner, who will advise you on all aftercare requirements.

Botox for hyperhidrosis costs between £400-£500 depending on how many areas of the body you are looking to treat. The effects last between four-six months, after which you’ll have a top-up treatment that’s priced depending on the extent of the treatment required.

We offer complimentary consultations in advance of all procedures, where you can discuss any concerns you have and create a treatment plan.
