Cheek Enhancement

As we get older, we lose firmness and elasticity in our skin, and the subcutaneous fat pads in the cheeks start to migrate downwards. As a result, this shift often leads to hollow-looking cheeks and sagging skin.

At DD Clinical, we recognise that the natural ageing process isn’t kind to everyone, and because of this, we help our customers feel great in their skin and achieve a refreshed appearance.

Therefore, cheek enhancements using jaw and cheek fillers offer an effective way to restore lost volume while lifting and contouring the face. When we inject dermal fillers, we restore sunken cheeks and create an overall lift that leaves you looking refreshed and well-rested.

Advantages of cheek fillers

There are many benefits to opting for cheek enhancement treatment, some of which include:

  • Non-surgical treatment options are available
  • A fresh and youthful appearance
  • Regain volume in the cheek area
  • Creates contour and definition
  • Fills out lines and wrinkles
  • Reduce cheek smile lines
  • Helps combat the ageing process
  • Instant results

Effective dermal filler treatment for sunken cheeks

At DD Clinical, our cheek fillers use hyaluronic acid — a natural substance found in everyone’s body. Because of this, these injections reintroduce hyaluronic acid to add volume to the skin and create a lifted, well-balanced appearance.

In addition, our non-surgical treatment option delivers instant results with minimal pain and downtime, giving you long-lasting improvement.

Once you have completed a thorough consultation with one of our medical practitioners, topical numbing cream will be applied to the cheeks to help reduce any discomfort.

The Doctor or Nurse Prescriber will then administer a series of small injections containing a volumising dermal filler across the cheek area.

The medical professional will guide you through every step and ensure you are relaxed and comfortable at all times.

Dermal fillers are a hyaluronic acid based natural substance, which is a substance that is found within every person’s body. As we inevitably begin the ageing process the amount of hyaluronic acid found in the skin begins to diminish, causing skin to look tired. Dermal filler injections reintroduce the hyaluronic acid back in to your body and can be used in a variety of areas to add volume to the skin, a popular area being the cheeks.

The results are instant with minimal pain and downtime but maximum long lasting results.

For the majority of people, there are no side effects at all. However, in some cases, there may be redness, swelling or tenderness or bruising around the treated area. Often this resolves within a few hours.

Occasionally lumps and bumps do occur which usually subsides after a few days and some gentle massage. If you need any adjustments after the treatment, you’ll be invited back to the clinic. Our expert clinician will then use a specialised massage technique, which settles the product and creates a smooth finish.

The aftercare requirements for dermal fillers will vary depending on the area being treated. We advise you not to apply creams or make-up for at least six hours after the treatment. It’s also best not to expose the area to extreme heat, and to avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours. Apart from that, you’ll usually be able to return to work within 1 -24 hours and feel fully recovered after 48 hours.

In advance of your treatment, you’ll receive a thorough consultation to advise you on any other aftercare requirements for your particular procedure.

You should avoid dermal filler treatment if the following are relevant:

  • You have a history of severe allergy to dermal fillers
  • You are taking anti-coagulant and immunosuppressant drugs
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Our practitioners can advise you on alternatives to hyaluronic acid products if required, and we’ll talk you through this plus any other risks or concerns you have at your initial consultation.

Cheek fillers start from £375

Price will vary from person to person and will be confirmed by your doctor during consultation.
