Cellulite reduction is new to the market aesthetic treatment that can reduce body fat and change the appearance of the skin in a healthy effective way.
Along with many transformative treatments, patients usually research the questions and queries surrounding the treatment, here we have listed some of the most common questions we receive.
How does cellulite reduction work?
Accent Prime is a cellulite reduction treatment where multiple laser technologies are used to target areas of fat within the body, these lasers generate heat that then reduces the number of fat cells within the area. At DD Clinical we use The Alma Accent Prime technology lasers.
The Alma Accent Prime is FDA approved, multiplatform technology that uses a combination of powerful technologies including radiofrequency, ultrasound and UNIPolar RF Lasers to target sagging skin, cellulite and excess fat, in addition, it can also sculpt and contour the body.
The treatment is non-invasive and uses the heat provided by the lasers to liquefy fat cells essentially melting them away. Between the treatment a mechanical massage will be used to increase lymphatic drainage of the fat, this will usually be passed through urination.
The added benefit of Alma Accent treatments is that they boost the production of collagen, which can reduce skin impurities, scarring and make the skin tighter.
With no pain and no downtime, this treatment is considered one of the most effective body transformations.
What is cellulite?
Cellulite occurs when individually enlarged fat deposits beneath the skin push up against the underlying connective tissue creating the appearance of uneven dimpled skin texture.
Cellulite is most common around the thighs and buttocks and can cause a lot of personal discomfort in appearance for many patients.
What areas can be treated?
Any area of the body where fat is stored can be treated by the Alma Accent Prime, however, the most common areas for treatment are the:
- Abdomen
- Thighs
- Arms
- Buttocks
- Under the chin
How quickly will I see results?
Patients usually see effects immediately or within a week, albeit once any swelling has reduced. For longer-lasting results, clinicians recommend a healthy diet and active lifestyle is obtained. It is possible to have several sessions for ongoing fat and cellulite reduction. However, it is not recommended that patients use laser treatments as an alternative to serious weight loss.
The ideal patient would be active and healthy and looking to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
