Cheek Enhancement

Often as we get older, we lose the firmness and the elasticity in our skin, and the subcutaneous fat pads in the cheeks begin to migrate downwards. This process often results in hollow looking cheeks and sagging skin.

At DD Clinical, we understand the natural ageing process may not be as kind to everyone, which is why we’d like to help our customers feel great in their skin and achieve a refreshed appearance.

Cheek enhancements using jaw and cheek fillers are the perfect solution to restore lost volume and to lift and contour the face. By injecting dermal fillers, we can help to restore the sunken cheeks, resulting in an overall lifting of the face, giving you a refreshed and rested appearance.

Once you have completed a thorough consultation with one of our medical practitioners, topical numbing cream will be applied to the cheeks to help reduce any discomfort.

The Doctor or Nurse Prescriber will then administer a series of small injections containing a volumising dermal filler across the cheek area.

The medical professional will guide you through every step and ensure you are relaxed and comfortable at all times.

Dermal fillers are a hyaluronic acid based natural substance, which is a substance that is found within every person’s body. As we inevitably begin the ageing process the amount of hyaluronic acid found in the skin begins to diminish, causing skin to look tired. Dermal filler injections reintroduce the hyaluronic acid back in to your body and can be used in a variety of areas to add volume to the skin, a popular area being the cheeks.

The results are instant with minimal pain and downtime but maximum long lasting results.

For the majority of people, there are no side effects at all. However, in some cases, there may be redness, swelling or tenderness or bruising around the treated area. Often this resolves within a few hours.

Occasionally lumps and bumps do occur which usually subsides after a few days and some gentle massage. If you need any adjustments after the treatment, you’ll be invited back to the clinic. Our expert clinician will then use a specialised massage technique, which settles the product and creates a smooth finish.

The aftercare requirements for dermal fillers will vary depending on the area being treated. We advise you not to apply creams or make-up for at least six hours after the treatment. It’s also best not to expose the area to extreme heat, and to avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours. Apart from that, you’ll usually be able to return to work within 1 -24 hours and feel fully recovered after 48 hours.

In advance of your treatment, you’ll receive a thorough consultation to advise you on any other aftercare requirements for your particular procedure.

You should avoid dermal filler treatment if the following are relevant:

  • You have a history of severe allergy to dermal fillers
  • You are taking anti-coagulant and immunosuppressant drugs
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Our practitioners can advise you on alternatives to hyaluronic acid products if required, and we’ll talk you through this plus any other risks or concerns you have at your initial consultation.

Cheek fillers start from £375

Price will vary from person to person and will be confirmed by your doctor during consultation.

We offer complimentary consultations in advance of all procedures, where you can discuss any concerns you have and create a treatment plan.
